Guilherme Paulus is a Brazilian entrepreneur that has recently become a billionaire. He has a net worth of 1.1 billion and has acquired his wealth through the founding of several companies in the travel industry. He is a man that has persevered through all challenges and is dedicated to pursuing his dreams. However, his dreams have not always been to become a business success in the travel industry. Guilherme Paulus went on to earn a degree in Business Administration and then get a job as an intern with IBM. After a little over two years at IBM, he knew he wanted to get out. The numbers and calculations had made him frustrated and he wanted to get out. Guilherme found an opportunity to leave the monotony when he saw an ad in the local newspaper. The ad was placed by the Casa Faro travel agency and they were looking to hire a salesman. Guilherme jumped at the opportunity and began to work for Casa Faro.

He was with a group of French people during one of his first trips, and he noticed that they were all very bored. Guilherme Paulus decided to set up some fun and entertaining activities for the bored travelers. His idea was successful and he quickly set up his next trip after that one ended. On another trip, Guilherme met the politician Carlos Vicente Cerchiari. Carlos noticed the talent that Guilherme had for providing customer satisfaction and offered him a partnership to start their own travel agency.

Guilherme Paulus accepted the offer, and the two entrepreneurs founded the CVC travel agency in 1972. Carlos Vicente Cerchiari left the business venture after only four years and sold his shares of the company to Guilherme. Guilherme faced many obstacles after this and almost closed down the CVC. He did not give up and proceeded to make the CVC travel agency into the largest tourist operator in Latin America. The CVC travel agency is now able to generate an annual revenue of $5.2 billion.
