Magic Mike XXL: The Sequel

“Magic Mike XXL” is the name of a comedy drama film that debuted in the summer of 2015, and is a work directed by Gregory Jacobs. The movie features Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello and Kevin Nash as the main members of the cast.

“Magic Mike XXL” takes place three years after the events of the first film, which interestingly enough is three years after the first film was released. Mike, played by Channing Tatum once again, is still the main character in the movie but now he’s retired from being a male stripper and now has his own furniture business to run. For the most part, his life is going well until he randomly gets a call from his former co-worker Tarzan, played by Kevin Nash, that their old boss Dallas is “gone.” After the call Mike makes a trip over to a hotel, and finds his old team the “Kings of Tampa” living it up at their own hotel party. Then it’s revealed that Dallas is not “gone” in the sense of being dead, but rather he left the country to start up his own personal show in Macau. With Mike there, the others inform him that the group is together to go on a road trip to Myrtle Beach for a stripping convention as a fitting way to end their careers. At first Mike doesn’t want to but after giving it some thought he chooses to go through with it.

Though Tatum is the major star of the film, other roles have been handed out to other actors who were involved, notable among them is actress Crystal Hunt. Hunt plays the character of Lauren, who is one of the female characters who helps Mike and his company get on with their show at the stripping convention in Myrtle Beach.

When not performing in “Magic Mike XXL,” Hunt has taken on other roles in both movies and television. A native of Clearwater, Florida, Hunt’s most notable television role came in the form of playing Lizzie Spaulding on the daytime soap opera “Guiding Light.” Hunt earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination as a result of this. Hunt’s other major role was playing the character of Stacy Morasco on another soap opera called “One Life to Live,” where her character made appearances on the show for three years according to IMDb. Recently Hunt plays as herself on the reality television show “Queens of Drama.”
